I know that song!

“You're like a song that I heard when I was a little kid but forgot I knew until I heard it again.”
Maggie Stiefvater, Lament: The Faerie Queen's Deception

As a child, we spent a lot of time with our cousins, going to the beach, having family parties, getting together for a barbecue or hanging around a camp fire singing songs. Those are such fond memories for me. When I first met Marc’s siblings what struck me the most was how I felt like I had come home.

How interesting it is to find ourselves surrounded by such energy. You know what I mean. This happens too when we connect with people we spend a lot of time with or get thrown together with for a work project. I am speaking about a bond. (not James!) An invisible force that draws us together and holds us together. This bond can be difficult to describe and it may even occur with people we don’t always agree with. We know how it feels when we see those people we are happy to see.

This week-end, that song was family. We laughed and laughed, played music, told stories and went out for a snowshoe in the woods in the silvery light of the full moon. When we sang, we were kids again.

Ciao!
